Our Story: A Message at 2 a.m.

It was 2 a.m. when my phone buzzed with a WeChat message. The name on the screen was familiar, but the words were not. It was Jason, my childhood confidant, pouring out his heart about sleepless nights, emotional chaos, and the pain of self-harm. The Jason I remembered was full of laughter and light, but he was lost in a sea of despair that night. Medical professionals brushed off his pain as just "puberty issues." Friends turned their backs, and family labeled him "too vulnerable." My heart ached. In search of a lifeline, we stumbled upon DuGuo, China's leading non-profit youth mental health community. As I volunteered, I was overwhelmed by the stories of countless adolescents trapped in a "gray zone," yearning for understanding and support but finding none. From this sea of silent cries, AdoleBelief was born.
